Students

I welcome inquiries from motivated students interested in environment and development challenges in low- and middle-income countries. I am most excited to work with students who are drawn to fieldwork and to working directly with data collected in the communities they study, and who want to build strong quantitative skills in economics, statistics, coding, or spatial analysis. Recent projects include cleaner brick production in South Asia, air pollution and teacher/student absenteeism in Delhi, and the links between environment, gender, and reproductive health.

  1. Motivation — What draws you to my research? What do you hope to learn as an RA in this lab?
  2. Time and commitment — How many hours per semester can you commit, and for how many semesters are you available? Please also indicate whether you are work-study eligible.
  3. Relevant skills and background — List any experience with data analysis, coding, survey work, fieldwork, or writing, and the tools you know.
